Lemazole

Lemazole (Benzoyl Metronidazole B.P) is a 60ml suspension. It is anti-amoebic and anti-infective.

Package contains: 1 pack of lemazole contains 60 ml syrup and an inner leaflet.

Composition:

Benzoyl Metronidazole suspension each 5ml contains equivalent of:

200mg Metronidazole B.P.

Dosage & Administration:

As directed by registered medical practitioner.

Indications

Amoebiasis a) Intestinal b) Amoebic liver abscess, also other extra-intestinal amoebiasis. c) Symptomless cyst passers.

Giardiasis acute ulcerative gingivitis.

Immature children and babies weighing less than 11kg (22lb) should receive proportionally smaller dosage as advised by the physician.

Giardiasis: a second course of treatment may be necessary for some patients two weeks after the end of the first course.

Giardiasis is a diarrheal disease caused by microscopic parasite Giardia duodenalis. It is used to treat infections and also for amoebic infections.

Adverse effects: It can cause diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, rash, and itching. It can cause GI symptoms such as stomach pain. These effects are reversible.

Instructions: Shake well before use. Store in a cool & dry place. Keep below 25°C. Protect from sunlight. Keep this and all medicines out of reach of children.
