Moxilium

Moxilium (Amoxycillin) is a powder for oral suspension and is 125mg/5ml on reconstitution. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic.

Package contains: 1 pack of moxilium contains 45ml syrup (when reconstituted) and an inner leaflet.

Composition:

Each 5ml contains:

(When reconstituted) 125 mg

Amoxycillin as Amoxycillin Trihydrate BP

Dosage:

Use only under medical supervision.

For Adults: 250-500 mg every 8 hours.

For children: 2-10 years: half dose than that of adults.

1-2 years: ¼ dose than that of adults or according to weight of child (35-100 mg per kilogram of body weight daily).

Or as directed by the doctor.

Directions for mixing: Add a given measure full of boiled, cooled water and shake well for proper mixing. The prepared suspension retains its activity for 7 days if stored in a cool and dry place.

Indications: Respiratory tract infections, Ear, nose and throat infections, Urinary tract infections, Gastrointestinal infections. Enteric fever, skin and soft tissue infections, biliary tract infections. Orthopedic infections, Pelvic infections, Also used to treat gonorrhea, syphilis, septicemia, endocarditis, meningitis and peritonitis.

Adverse Effects: It can cause rash, allergic reactions, diarrhea, and nausea.

Instructions: All medicines should be kept out of the reach of children. For indications and dosage see enclosed leaflet. Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light. Shake well before use.
